• The security of Symfony, Doctrine and Twig source code is audited by an external auditor thanks to a community-funded initiative.
• Dailymotion, the largest independent video website, migrates to Symfony
• Symfony 2.0 is released, which is the main "turning point" in Symfony's history
• Symfony introduces a new logo, new branding, new domain (symfony.com instead of symfony-project.com) and a new website
• SymfonyConnect is introduced (it was originally introduced as SensioLabs Connect)

2012¶

• The first edition of the Symfony Community Awards
• Drupal announces the adoption of some Symfony components for Drupal 8
• eZ Publish 5 announces its migration to Symfony and Twig
• Symfony Components are published as standalone packages thanks to the Git subtree splitting
• symfony 1.4 reaches end of maintenance

• Symfony announces its "experimental features" program

• Fabien publishes his vision for the revolutionary Symfony 4 version
• Symfony 4 is released, introducing Flex to automate package installation, service autowiring and autoconfiguration, 70% smaller apps than in Symfony 3, more standardization and great performance.
• Symfony introduces its Diversity initiative and a new Code of Conduct
• The first version of MakerBundle is published
