SymfonyLive Berlin 2015 Roundup

Another SymfonyLive is over - our 4th installment in Berlin! We had a blast this year, with over 350 people attending. We've expanded our schedule to accommodate two consecutive workshop days, and continued our concept of offering both Symfony-related and general workshops. This way, participants had the chance to visit two workshops, which was met with great interest. We would like to use this opportunity to thank the workshop trainers, both external and from SensioLabs, for their contribution to the conference!

The following two days of talks started off with a surprise that we at SensioLabs Deutschland had been looking forward to for some time: The DeprecationDetector, a new SensioLabs tool to check your PHP projects (Symfony not required!) for usages of deprecated library calls. The Detector uses static code analysis to find deprecations in your whole project, and as such is a great addition to the existing deprecation-related tools the full stack framework brings to the table. One thing that will be different from the existing runtime tools is that you will be able to use the Deprecation Detector in your integration pipeline.

After Fabien's Keynote, we had great contributions from 19 speakers with 22 talks, ranging from topics covering Symfony, Drupal and other CMS to Devops and Testing. Honorary mentions go out to Jeffrey McGuire - if you don't know why, you had to be there... or wait for the video! The feedback we've received speaks for itself - a big "thank you" to all speakers involved!

Speaking of feedback, if you haven't given feedback yet, there is still time to rate the talks on joind.in! Your feedback is much appreciated.

Lastly, there are two groups we didn't mention yet, and who are essential to every conference: the attendees (yes, that's you!) and the sponsors of course.

The audience was great as always and eager to participate, including the hackday, which had big groups working on the DeprecationDetector, Sulu CMS, and other projects.

Again, thanks to our platinum sponsors Sixt and Blackfire, and of course our gold sponsors Chefkoch, ez Systems, platform.sh, auxmoney, pagekit, MeinFernbus and LOVOO, and all others who made this conference possible!

We are looking forward to next year - see you in Berlin!
